DIY Recording for Educators 05: Lightboard-Style

This week I used my home office setup to demo a "lightboard" style of production, without the actual lightboard. Lightboards are SUPER cool, and they're ideal for certain kinds of video lectures. But depending on your resources or your subject-matter, building one might be more of a headache than it's worth. Here's how to get a similar look using the setup I've outlined previously, along with some of the pros and cons of doing so.
(I'd actually prefer to be standing in this video rather than sitting, in order to get a truer lightboard-style product. I'd need a standing desk for that though, and I won't have one for a very long time (if ever). If you happen to have one, I encourage you to try out this setup and let me know how it goes!)
