I promised that I'd add a green screen to my home recording setup, et voila! Things are finally starting to look the way I'd hoped when I started this little project. This particular green screen is marketed more towards game streamers, but I don't see why it couldn't also be used for MOOCs and other educational videos. Seriously one of the coolest and most convenient pieces of gear I've ever worked with, and extremely worth the cost.
This will be my last gear-centric update for a while. Next week I'll start going into some broader tips, tricks, and concepts for self-producing MOOCs and video lectures, beginning with a discussion of this new PowerPoint template and the concept of title safety. Stay tuned.
(I'm aware that at one point in this video I drew a circle around a dot. I realized too late what that might look like on screen. Woops.)
